Medicine for joints teraflex: indications for use
Why use in the treatment of diseases of the joints a drug for the treatment of colds? Most often causes disease of the joints lies the slow, gradual destruction and deterioration of the connective tissue, a key component of the cartilage of joints and intervertebral discs. They perform in our body function, such as work trucks: responsible for reducing the impact of the bone surface of joints and the vertebrae of the human locomotor activity, reduce the inevitable wear of the surfaces of bone tissue.
The human body with age or in the presence of various diseases of musculoskeletal system most often does not maintain an interior renewal, the regeneration of the protective cartilage. In this case, doctors prescribe the drug for the treatment of colds, which stimulates renewal of the cartilaginous layer, helps to soothe pain, improve joint mobility, and prevents further progression of the disease. In particular, osteoarthritis of the knee is one of the diseases for which effective this medicine.
The drug differs from other similar drugs in that its chemical composition contains not one active substance that improves the state of human joints, and a complex consisting of two complementary components: glucosamine and chondroitin. These two natural, related cartilage in our joints components are perfectly combined and mutually reinforce each other’s action.
One tablet Teraflex contains 500 mg glucosamine and 400 mg chondroitin. Additionally, the chemical composition of the drug include stearic acid, manganese sulfate and magnesium stearate. Their action helps the body better absorb the medicine.
The main active substance of the medicinal product glucosamine is a component. It helps reproduction of new connective tissue of the joint and protects cartilage from destruction. What can be caused by such destruction? The negative impact on the joint due to the presence of chemicals and free radicals that are formed as a result of internal biochemical reactions in the cells of cartilage.
The drug chondroitin complements glucosamine by enhancing the synthesis of connective tissue. It activates the formation in the body collagen protein and hyaluronic acid has the ability to attract fluid. Thus enhances the elasticity of cartilage and the intervertebral discs.
Two main components of the drug together, in addition to its main activities, also protect the patient’s joint from the harmful effects of other drugs that are used to relieve severe pain in the joints and spine. This primarily corticosteroids and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
The main active substance Teraflex — glucosamine and chondroitin have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect which allows to reduce the doses of stronger medicines.

Teraflex in rheumatoid arthritis because of being a part of a component of chondroitin may further amplify the inflammation. Therefore, the drug should be administered only during periods of withdrawal of an acute illness under the strict supervision of a doctor.
